Strengthening Systems for Women’s Protection: Sungi Formalizes Partnerships in Sheikhupura:
Sungi Development Foundation, under the Aawaz II Programme, took a significant step toward ensuring the long-term sustainability of its interventions by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with four key government and service delivery institutions. The MOUs were signed with the Social Welfare & Women Empowerment Department, Sheikhupura; Police Tahafuz Markaz; Meesaq Center; and Women Protection Centers.
The MOU signing ceremony was held at Gymkhana, Sheikhupura, where the agreements were formally signed by the respective heads of the concerned departments and the Executive Director of Sungi Development Foundation, Mr. Malick Shahbaz Ahmad Tahir.
These MOUs form a vital component of the Aawaz II sustainability framework. They aim to institutionalize collaboration, strengthen referral mechanisms, and ensure the continuity of essential services for women and marginalized communities beyond the life of the programme.
