Awaaz District Forum Haripur has condemned the incident of sexual abuse of an innocent girl resident of Khalabat Township and demanded a transparent inquiry from the police. An important meeting of ADF was held in this regard yesterday. The meeting was attended by Tehseen-ul-Haq Awan Advocate, Khurshid Azhar Advocate, Mazhar Bukhari and others while Sabir Khan Yousafzai was representing the SUNGI Development Foundation at the meeting. The incident of rape was strongly condemned and the police department was demanded to conduct a clear and transparent inquiry into the incident so that the accused could not escape from punishment.

The participants urged for child protection bill and demand for child protection unit in Haripur. And also demand to register the FIR against the rapist under the Child Protection and Welfare Act 2010 (CPWA).
