In collaboration with ALIGHT Sungi Development Foundation initiated to respond the health and nutrition needs in flood affected areas of districts of Shikarpur and Khairpur Sindh. The scope of the intervention is to collaborate with government to provide the health and nutrition services in three Rural Health Centers (RHC) of flood affected areas of Sindh.

Alongside the above mentioned Sungi Development Foundation established Temporary Learning Centers for children in different flood affected areas of Shikarpur and Khairpur districts. A bulk of medicines has been provided to three government Rural Health Centers RHCs in the said target districts. To ensure the continued medical support Sungi has provided the human resources support including lady doctors, community midwife, health and hygiene promotors and other paramedics as per need and requirement.

Sungi also initiated the structural rehabilitation /restoration of the target health facilities damaged during the recent riverine flood.
