As an outcome of Sungi/AAWAZ district advocacy initiative with collaboration of Election Commission of Pakistan, ADF Abbottabad organized a daylong session on women political participation and voter education session at UC Pind Kargu Khan. 40 participants from ECP (Regional and District Team), Sungi, Local Government Representatives, ADF and Social Activists had actively participated. ECP staff gave detailed orientation about election laws and polling station allocation etc. In the Q/A session, participants had shared the polling scheme and voter registration issues which are specifically faced by women. There was a decision taken that low CNIC targets will be directed through NADRA’s mobile van and ECP official ensured their full cooperation for allocation of NADRA MRVs.
