About the Foundation
Established in 1989 in Abbottabad, Pakistan, the SUNGI Development Foundation functions as a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing about sustainable social and economic transitions across marginalized mountain communities. By using rights-based social mobilisation structures, SUNGI works to integrate local citizens directly into public resource governance and community accountability platforms.
